My Testimony

I was born into a Christian family and raised in a mainline denomination. From what I understood, I knew that Jesus was the Saviour of the world, and that if I was to be a believer, I needed to live my life as best I could, following Jesus as my example.

I have a twin, and when we were in 9th grade, she started attending another church, and for the first time heard about making a committment to Jesus Christ and being born again. Besides not attending the church we grew up in, I noticed some changes take place in her life.

She began reading the Bible at night when we were supposed to be in bed and she actually wanted to become involved in activities at her church. When I was 19, I had a born-again experience and now understood that level of committment and the hunger for spiritual things. When I was 21 I was water baptised, having read my Bible and understanding the need for water baptism as an adult, and doing it out of obedience, although I had been water baptised as a baby according to the doctrines of the church I was raised in.

Studying God's Word taught me that water baptism didn't 'save' me, it was a public confession of my relationship to Jesus, and so I had a second water baptism; this time, the Scriptural way, with my will involved. Then a couple of years later, I received another baptism; that of the Holy Spirit.

Ever since I was a young girl, I have had dreams and visions and visitations in the spirit realm. They haven't all been good. I have seen demons at times and always thought others must see them too. I have also had angelic visitations and feel very blessed to have had these experiences, fully acknowledging that this has been the grace of God operating in my life. The spirit realm has always been as real to me as the physical realm.

I thank God for the giftings He has blessed me with in my journey through this life and give Him all the glory for everything in my life, for He alone is worthy....
