The Sanctity of Human Life

Each time Sancitity of Life Sunday rolls around, I am reminded of how our nation has gone from serving the God of the Bible to serving the god of 'self' and convenience.

The Pro Choice sector has erected a wooden replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, representing all the 'courageous' women in America that have died because of unsafe and illegal abortion claiming their lives before the Roe v Wade decision was passed into law in our country. The battle cry in America among so many women is for their right to choose, and yet these women could have made the choice to adopt out their 'unwanted' babies. Maybe along side this wooden 'mock' memorial for the mothers and women who died, there should be another headstone for the children who also lost their lives, and instead of the headstone being white, it should be blood red.

Not only is abortion our nation's most emotional and controversial continuing battle, it is also the most misunderstood and bloodiest. The over 40,000 lives of babies snuffed out each year in the name of 'a medical procedure' are more than the lives of Americans lost in battle in any wars. In all our previous wars, our Mothers prayed for their babies to be kept safe and now today, it is the Mother who chooses the killing. What was once considered the safest place on earth for a baby is now the most threatened.

Destroying an eagle egg is a felony and if a driver hits a pregnant cow or horse, their insurance must pay for two lost livestock. The 'coat hanger' argument for 'safe' abortions is a fallacy, because the same surgical instruments are used in today's legal abortions, and there's nothing safe about it as far as the baby is concerned; it still comes out the loser.

As I see it, abortion is nothing more than "a woman's right to kill" and that's something a baby can live without.........

When it comes to abortion, to question whether or not the embryo is a living human is to merely confuse the issue.

The real issue is the sanctitiy of human life.

How we regard human life is our most basic fidelity to the Truth of God. It conditions everything else about our values as a people.

If man was created in the image of God, then life is absolutely sacred....

When Susan Smith of Union City sent her sons to a watery grave, she only brought to light "the Choice" other women fight to save. I thought that laws were meant to protect but tell me, who gets to choose between life and death and 'reproductive rights'? It seems our babies lose.

We must speak up and be their voice 'cause we don't even hear them cry.

When we end their life and don't give them a name does that mean they didn't die?
